I live in Cheltenham not far from the CSIRO site.
I look at the trees there every time I go past and enjoy them.
I think it is absolutely imperative that at least half of the CSIRO site is preserved with the grassy woodlands and trees. Especially since the whole Highett area around the station is going to multistorey unit developments.
It should be kept to show future generations what this area was like naturally, as well as the possible future need for scientific reference and research on indigenous species.
